JAMES WORTH DIGITAL MEDIA AND COMMUNICATIONS
strategy
I have found the best way to give advice to a client is to find out what they want and then advise them on how to do it
Let me tell you the secret that has led me to my goal: my strength lies solely in my tenacity."
(December 27, 1822 – September 28, 1895)
Why is strategy in both design and the project management process primary?
Over thirty years of working in all digital media formats bring knowledge, expertise, media agnostic and a balanced point of view to your project. I analyse your organisation, your expectations, aspirations, media assets and most importantly, change manage your creative and IT infrastructure to both existing and new technologies; building a team to create sustainable communications objectives.
How is this achieved and what should you expect?
Knowledge acquired in one “must have” area of digital media has to be constantly updated to keep pace with adaptation that in turn leads to even more technologically advanced technology. This process is exponential, ultimately leading to specialisation that creates overuse, followed by abuse and the original “must have” is soon replaced by the next set of “must have” software.
My career has been built by concentrating on excellence built on a foundation of continuity, knowledge, strength, strategy, diversity and dependability. A know-how that has created, like my "5c's" for communication, 5D’s’ of using digital media:
Discussion - Avoid assumptions. Ask the all-important question “Do you have any questions?” Listen very carefully to the answer.
Define – clearly understanding all communication objectives and expectations,
Dependability – make sure a media format is current, has life expectancy, durability and updates that can easily accommodate older project versions
Diversity – provide alternatives that may work more effectively and prove more adaptable for future expansion and development
Development – no mater what media format, guidelines should clearly detail storyline, storyboard, interactivity, how it works, and the implications it will have on current or future IT infrastructure
Clients regularly tell me my tenacity and “5D’s” approach gives them results that exceed their expectations. And here’s how I meet my own expectations to make yours work for you.
